In the previous edition of ESOF, I had the pleasure of participating as Chairman of the National Representation of Doctoral Students. It was a precious and inspiring experience. The ESOF is unprecedented in terms of the scale and complexity of the approach presented to academia. It creates a diverse and inclusive space for dialogue between representatives of universities, scientists, students and doctoral students and the socio-economic environment. I am glad that for the past two years, I have been able to witness and participate in projects related to Katowice's honourable role as European Capital of Science 2024. This year, I will be honoured to represent the NGO sector at the Forum as president of the Work&Science Foundation, which works to increase the competitiveness of young scientists in the labour market. This event's absolute phenomenon is its openness to an unconventional and innovative approach to the scientific community, combining elements of cooperation between science and business, which I have been demonstrating for years in my activities as areas of mutual correlation.
